Just Des(s)erts, my novel about, middle aged, female killers is due out soon. Tree District books have done the editing and the blurb and I am now waiting for the cover design. It is at this stage, when the project is coming together, that the excitement starts to mount. Needless to say I will be sharing the cover with everyone as soon as I can.
I am currently suffering a bit with the dreaded writer's block. My book Artful, the story of an abandoned child regaining her memory in adulthood, is sort of finished. It needs revisions, embellishments and clarifications. Once I get started, it will start to flow, but its getting going. I blame Christmas. A couple of weeks of eating, (far too much) drinking and chilling have made it difficult to get motivated.
I have another speaking engagement coming up on 8th March. I will be talking about writing and getting published, with a wine circle. What a lovely way to spend an evening. The question and answer sessions at these events are the best part. Expect the unexpected is all I can say, but a lively crowd make for lots of fun.
So, the countdown is on. My first book published by Tree District is on its way and the release date will be given as soon as I have it. I am hoping that 2019 will be a good one for me and for Eve, Dorothea and Penny, the main characters in my book. Good luck to you all too.
