Driving, visiting and writing something different.

We have just returned from a trip to Wales to visit my husband's mother. Found these guys on a ramble in the countryside. They stopped grazing to pose for the photo which was very kind of them.

I continue to write and edit my latest works but there has been a bit of a departure from my usual style. A friend, Vanessa, approached me to say she had written a children's book and would I look at it for her. I am now doing some amendments and learning a whole new way of writing at the same time. Having just completed a couple of horror novels this is a change to say the least.

I have not read many children's books so I think a trip to the library is on the cards. I need to look at a few to check that what I am doing is appropriate for the age group the story is aimed at.

My work in progress is called One World and features an alternative universe. I have to do lots of research for this one and I am expanding my knowledge on a range of subjects. Currently I am looking at the workings of an internal combustion engine. I know, a writer's life is very exciting.
