Good News, talking and travelling.

After the disappointment of my former publisher going out of business, some great news. I have signed a new publishing contract with Tree District books.

They are going to issue my book Just Des(s)erts. They will of course edit it, format it, and design a fabulous cover. I have self published, but

the professionals really do a great job and I can't wait to see what it will look like.

I am giving a talk at St Georges church in Poole later this month. I certainly have an interesting story to tell about the ups and downs of writing and releasing books. It has as many plot twists as a whodunit.

I don't know what I thought would happen when I sat down to write my first book, Ebb and Flow, but the whole process has been complicated and, at times, torturous. You have to keep your wits about you as there are many people who will take your money, but give little or nothing in return.

A short trip to north Wales this month gave me and my husband a chance to see family and friends. We walked around the ruins of Ruthin Castle, which was very atmospheric.

My latest project, The Misfits Remedy, is more or less finished. A couple of weeks break and then I will be itching to start a new book. I'm hoping that an idea will come to me and then I will be off on the next adventure. I look forward to finding out where I will go this time.
